This is the best dermatology and medical spa in Pittsburgh! First of all, the place offers everything from lasers to Botox, and if you are considering plastic surgery, they also have a plastic surgery division (Premier). I’m a huge fan of their services — they are close to home, accessible, affordable, and they work. I have a number of friends who go here, and this place has dermatologists and PAs in Pittsburgh who actually understand the idea of looking subtle, natural, and in doing things right the first time. Hard to find in a city where it seems everyone feels they are qualified to open a medical spa and Botox center! Second, they offer a lot of skin care lines that are hard-​to-​find in Pittsburgh, and they know what they are talking about in guiding you through the lines. The products are usually medical-​grade, though they offer natural-​friendly products like Farmhouse Fresh that are still pretty good. I like the Skinceuticals products here — they are always sold at retail (unlike some scammers in Pittsburgh who price above MSRP), always fresh, and always new. This is the only place in town I could find the Skinceuticals Lipid Restore Treatment, for instance, which just came out in Q1 2016. Bam, it was there. The staff is professional, knowledgable, and no-​nonsense; they get it done, they answer questions, they follow up, they do it right. I’m a big fan and will continue to go here for all of the things that don’t get easier with age!

I really don’t understand the low reviews. I’ve been to Acqua Blu a handful of times over the past couple months, and every visit was great! The two women who have done my facials and laser treatments have been very nice and knowledgeable. It’s always nerve-​wracking to think of someone putting a laser on your face, but they have been great and my skin hasn’t looked this good in years! Prices vary depending on what you want; a facial is not going to be in the same price range as a tummy tuck!

Acqua Blu is located on Rt. 19 next to Ethan Allen Furniture just north of Wexford. I have only visited a couple times, but I am already in love with this place. I see Toni for microdermabrasion and she does a fabulous job. The treatment begins with a cleansing, gentle exfoliation, a vitamin rub, facial mask, steam treatment and a hand, arm and shoulder massage. I don’t believe that microdermabrasion is meant to be relaxing. However, the treatment rooms are comfortable (though very small). You have the option of removing whatever clothing you would like, but since she does a shoulder treatment, it’s a good idea to get those bra straps out of the way. And the shoulder and arm massage is wonderful! She also keeps the room fairly dimly lit, but of course, sometimes you have the bright glaring facial light on your face. Microdermabrasion is painless. They use a bristle-​tip head to lightly «buff» the skin, which gently lifts away dead skin cells. Directly after treatment, your skin may look a bit pink or flushed, but this has never happened to me. The building itself is beautifully decorated. Lots of treatment rooms. They don’t really push to try to sell you any products. And they only mention selling you treatments when they are having special pricing. And by doing that, they are doing you a favor.

I had a breast augmentation diene by Dr. Heil and they're everything I expected them to be! I feel so much better about myself in the clothes I wear and especially in a bathing suit!! I would recommend him 100%!!

I had a severe case of gynecomastia that had affected my self esteem and my life to the point where I felt like I was subhuman. I missed out on so much in life. I was a man who had large, pendulus breasts with huge nipples, to boot. Missed opportunities with potential girlfriends because I was afraid of what they'd think if my body. Quit wrestling in high school because of the torment I recieved in the locker room. Life was hell. I thought that my case in particular would cost upwards of $15,000, and I didn't know if there was any way that I'd ever be able to afford it. But my junior year of college, I found Dr. Heil. I got the surgery, and when I first saw and felt my chest for the first time I'm not afraid to say I actually cried because I was finally free. I had a normal chest with normal sized nipples. 2 years later and my chest is actually my best feature. I proudly take my shirt off at the pool and have finally been able to being females into my life. Thank you Dr. heil.

I had a Mini-Facelift and couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Heil did an incredible job and was extremely professional. Having traveled a few hours for the procedure and after care Dr. Heil was available on Sunday to see us specifically at his office. However, I would not recommend the office staff; they were, in my opinion, unprofessional, uppity and unfriendly. I would NOT return for treatments other than those that would be received directly from Dr. Heil, who again, is an incredibly skilled surgeon. Worth every penny.

Removed some lypomas, scars have healed very nice.

Excellent surgeon, am happy with results (breast reduction). Prepare yourself for some long waits in some cases. Would prefer to see doctor only, not both the physicians' asst and then separately the doctor.

Dr Heil is great. He does a wonderful job. His plastic surgery couldn't be better. However, his staff that does the laser and Botox procedures do not do a very good job. I gave him 5 stars but his staff that does the other small things would get a 1 or 2 from me.

Did a marvelous job on my breast augmentation... I'd rate my results as a 10/10

From the moment I walked in, the receptionists were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The waiting room is not only spotless but stylish and comfortable as well. Mimi, who escorted me back from the waiting area, was fantastic!! She took the time to explain the entire process and made sure I was fully prepared. She was so sweet and personable, which made my visit even more enjoyable. It was nice getting to chat with her before having my lips re-done. During my treatment, I passed out, but the team handled it very well, reassuring me that it’s not uncommon and making sure I was comfortable. Overall, the entire experience was professional, smooth, and my lips turned out great!! Highly recommend!

Since I started coming to this place, I have loved every experience. I have had laser hair removal done, face lasers including moxi, & laser genesis, also the hydro facial. I love my results and I am very happy. Highly recommend all. Kayla is awesome, super friendly & she knows her stuff!! The rest of the staff is also awesome! Can not wait to continue doing new treatments & trying their products!

Recently saw Cassie for my Dysport and Lip filler treatment and I cannot say enough about the process start to finish and the results afterwards. Cassie is fantastic! She was very informative, and took her time! This was something I had spent years thinking about and I am so happy I finally did it! Thank you Cassie for making me feel so confident!

My consultation with Bonnie was wonderful. She is open and honest. Explains things fully. Does not pressure at all but provides thorough information. She made me feel totally comfortable!!! Also my interactions with Drea have been top notch. She is so personable and professional! She really takes the time to explain and make sure that you feel comfortable and confident !! She is totally focused on her patient!!! Excellent staff and office surroundings
