Acqua Blu lists IPL, BBL Hero, Laser Genesis, MOXI, HALO, CO2 resurfacing and PicoWay treatments. A device menu is not a diagnosis. The useful starting point is whether the concern is color, a discrete vessel, unwanted hair, a tattoo, surface texture or a scar.
What to compare
Identify one or two visible features and ask a clinician to examine them. Discuss skin tone, tanning, medicines and past pigment or healing problems. A suspicious or changing lesion should be evaluated before cosmetic treatment. Ask why the proposed device is suited to the actual target and what it would leave unchanged.
Trade-offs
“Laser” and “light” do not describe one procedure. Recovery and number of sessions vary with the device and plan. FDA guidance lists incomplete response, scarring and skin-color change among possible laser risks. Compare a written course and follow-up rather than a photograph or one-visit sale.
Using reviews
When reading an energy-treatment review, look for the exact device, treated concern, skin context and timing. A BBL account about redness is not a recovery guide for CO2 resurfacing.
Questions to bring
- What is the precise target and diagnosis?
- Why this device for my skin?
- How is the response evaluated?
