MOXI and HALO are both listed lasers, but they are not identical resurfacing plans. A person with modest unevenness may ask different questions from someone with pronounced texture or multiple concerns. The clinical assessment should identify the target and the amount of change being sought.
What to compare
Ask the provider to show which visible feature each device would address. Compare the number of visits proposed, how skin is expected to look afterward and how sun protection or activities affect scheduling. Ask what sign would make the clinician change the plan.
Trade-offs
A more intensive-sounding device is not always the better fit. Costs should be compared for a full proposed course, not just one appointment. The FDA lists potential laser risks including incomplete treatment and skin-color change.
Using reviews
Check whether a MOXI review included BBL or another add-on; otherwise its outcome should not be attributed to MOXI alone. Timing matters for both devices.
Questions to bring
- What degree of change is realistic for my concern?
- What recovery difference is relevant to my schedule?
